As a Senior Java Microservices Developer – Cloud & DevOps Leadership, you will be working for our client, a leading entity within global banking and market services. You will play a crucial role in modernizing core banking platforms by leading a talented international team, adopting DevOps and Agile principles, and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions. Your main responsibilities:

• Lead the adoption of DevOps and Agile practices across the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, IT specialists, architects, and management to deliver robust, scalable microservices.
• Design technical solutions that meet evolving business and technical requirements using modern agile methodologies.
• Develop and support distributed systems in Java, primarily using Java 11 and Spring Boot within a microservices environment.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enhance platform reliability, capacity, and performance.
• Create observability tools for monitoring, alerting, incident detection, and capacity management to ensure optimal platform health.
• Participate actively in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Delivery to ensure seamless platform operation.
• Coach and lead the Krakow-based team throughout the entire software development lifecycle to foster continuous delivery excellence.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Over 4 years of experience developing and supporting distributed Java-based systems.
• Proven expertise in microservices architecture using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
• Excellent communication skills in business-ready English.
• Hands-on experience with application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD automation (Jenkins), and Ansible.
• Good understanding of Cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

It is a strong plus if you have:

• German language skills.
