Mid-Level Batch Scheduling Specialist – Mainframe and Automation

As a Senior Batch Scheduling Specialist, you will be working for our client, a global leader in enterprise infrastructure management. You will help build resilient, efficient, and automated systems supporting critical IT services, enabling seamless operational continuity and innovation.

Your main responsibilities:

• Ensure the operational stability, integrity, and availability of IT products and services supported by the team
• Maintain high data quality and compliance with Service Management Standards
• Support incident resolution and issue management to uphold service continuity
• Deploy infrastructure changes with a focus on automation, load balancing, security, and performance
• Drive automation initiatives for build, testing, and deployment processes across all environments
• Develop and implement solutions to enhance system monitoring, high availability, and resilience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure and support continuous improvement
• Ensure service recovery objectives are met through effective planning and execution

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or mainframe scheduling
• Solid knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS on Mainframe
• Good understanding of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS), BatchCP, BatchAD, and XINFO
• Strong experience with automation tools and process integration
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Incident and change management skills, with a clear understanding of SLAs

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of German language (spoken) would be advantageous
