AI Governance and Risk Manager – Financial Sector

Warsaw-based opportunity with a remote work model (up to 5 days/week)

As an AI Governance and Risk Manager, you will be working for our client, a key player in the financial sector, dedicated to implementing robust AI governance frameworks. You will help shape the strategic approach to AI risk, compliance, and operational governance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and supporting sustainable innovation within the organization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive AI Governance Frameworks aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Manage use cases of AI and Generative AI, ensuring proper risk assessments and compliance checks
• Oversee risk management, regulatory adherence, and control implementation related to AI activities
• Coordinate operational governance activities and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies
• Prepare audit-ready materials and documentation to support internal and external inspections
• Facilitate communication and coordination across IT, Risk, Compliance units, and other stakeholders
• Create and deliver presentations and reports for management and boards of directors

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 2+ years of experience in governance, risk, or compliance within financial institutions
• Practical understanding of AI technologies, associated risks, and regulatory constraints
• Experience with AI / model governance at a conceptual or control level
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple units (IT, Risk, Compliance)
• Excellent command of English and Polish, both written and spoken

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Knowledge of AI Act, DORA, or model risk management frameworks
• Experience preparing executive and regulatory materials
• Experience working within large, international organizational structures

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent in Polish and English
