Java Developer – Microservices and Cloud Infrastructure

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the financial industry focused on securities settlements and post-trade processing systems. Your expertise will contribute to designing and delivering robust, high-performance microservices that power critical financial operations, driving digital transformation and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices utilizing Spring Boot to ensure scalable and reliable financial solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions on cloud infrastructures, particularly using Kubernetes and Argo CD.
• Implement and optimize event-driven systems leveraging Kafka to enhance real-time processing capabilities.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines through GitLab, ensuring smooth integrations and continuous deployment.
• Monitor system health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack to uphold high standards of availability and efficiency.
• Work within an agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
• Maintain thorough documentation to support ongoing system enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Stay informed about evolving industry standards and emerging technologies to continuously improve system performance and security.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development within financial services or related fields.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with SDLC tools, especially GitLab.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS, is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of securities settlements and post-trade processing systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills paired with strong problem-solving abilities.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude.
• Certifications or training in cloud computing or financial systems.

Language required for the role:

• English, with a good command level.
