Lead Software Architect

Warsaw-based opportunity with possibility to work partly remote 

As a Lead Software Architect, you will work for our Client – The EU’s leading bank and key player on the international banking scene, operating in 72 countries. You will join the Client Team dedicated to reviewing applications and the development, deployment, and maintenance processes. This initiative is motivated by the need of adopting new technologies (e.g., Cloud technologies), increasing quality in the IT services provided and optimizing end-to-end operability when building a/o maintaining our applications. The mission is oriented on applications design, development and maintenance following high standards and best practices.

Your main responsibilities: work with management, architecture, development, and production teams in setting and editing technical direction, providing sponsorship and mentorship to the IT teams, injecting engineering and expertise in the solution of complex problems

• Define standards, best practices, tools and technologies to be used around applicative architecture, coding, storage systems, network and communication, required for high reliability and scalability of the Global Banking applications
• Consolidate these standards and best practices as part of a global strategy, ensuring diffusion, general comprehension, coaching, and implementation of it by all the development and production teams
• Monitor strategy implementation progress by the definition of metrics and KPIs and report it to management
• Create complex architectural frameworks for components and features of new software programs, solving challenging technical issues as they arise and developing strategies to prevent further errors
• Participate to software design and architecture reviews to ensure every software development project complies with standards
• Collaborate with Cloud architects and DevSecOps leaders in the transformation of the Global Banking strategic applications

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of experience as applications development technical leader in complex IT projects
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Kafka, MQ, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ELK)
• Being able to help in case of troubleshoot any errors that arise while keeping focus on cloud native development (Java, Hibernate, SQL, OpenAPI, Angular)
• Development and design methodologies provide a structured approach to design, build, and maintain reliable and scalable applications
• Project management skills comprise progress tracking, resource allocation, and time management
• Fluent English
