As a Mid-Level Automation Test Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in redefining Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cloud security. You will support testing secure, scalable workload identities and access workflows across Google Cloud Platform, integrating identity services with custom APIs, Pub/Sub pipelines, and cloud-native applications. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and data aligned with technical requirements and specifications.
• Support and maintain test entry/exit criteria, ensuring full traceability of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to test case reviews and quality assurance processes to enhance coverage and maintainability.
• Support SIT/OAT/UAT scenario definition in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Produce testing artifacts that meet audit and regulatory standards.
• Build, maintain, and enhance backend automation scripts using Python and Pytest for API and integration testing.
• Validate event-driven systems such as Pub/Sub, queues, and Kafka, including replay and data integrity scenarios.
• Test functions and decision logic "as code," including policy-as-code assessments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and generate reports to inform teams.
• Create and manage synthetic and anonymized test data sets for repeatable testing.
• Track, report, and verify/debug defects, providing clear communication to stakeholders.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment, continuously improving quality practices and automation efficacy.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 2 years of practical experience in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts and testing API-driven services (REST, Postman, Insomnia, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems like Pub/Sub, queues, Kafka, or batch processing flows.
• Familiarity with identity protocols and formats such as SCIM, LDAP, REST API, OIDC, and CSV.
• Understanding of policy-based access models (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, PBAC).
• Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and automation integration.
• Cloud testing experience, ideally with GCP (additional AWS, Azure, Entra exposure is advantageous).
• Strong communication skills in fluent English, both written and verbal.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in consumer-driven contract testing.
• Knowledge of policy-as-code tools (OPA / Rego).
• Exposure to graph databases (Neo4j) or graph relationship testing.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., n8n) and GenAI tools supporting QA.
• Containerized testing patterns.
• Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad).
• Experience with GitOps repositories, Vault (HashiCorp), or security governance testing.

Language Required for the role:
Fluent English (written and spoken).
