As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be working for our client, a leader in data architecture and analytics. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing sophisticated data models that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Your main responsibilities:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data modelling solutions.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis on relational and hierarchical data sources, including JSON and XML files.
- Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure models support data transformation and high-quality data delivery.
- Participate in architecture discussions to ensure compliance with data design standards and best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging data technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements for processes and automation.
- Support data governance, quality, and security standards to uphold organizational data integrity.
- Assist in optimizing data models for scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in data modelling for operational and analytical systems.
- Strong expertise in Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema, and 3NF modelling approaches.
- Proficiency in data profiling, data analysis, and working with relational databases and hierarchical data formats.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and data protection practices.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Hands-on experience with cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
- Familiarity with banking industry data models and standards (e.g., FSDM, FIBO, SWIFT).
Language required for the role:
English — Good command.
