Senior Java Developer

Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 days at the office) 

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in financial industry, supporting large-scale enterprise projects that drive digital transformation. You will contribute to building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions, utilizing cutting-edge Java features, microservices architecture to deliver mission-critical applications. Your main responsibilities:

• Developing code by applying Software Craftsmanship best practices and quality standards

• Understanding business requirements and defining technical solutions to implement them

• Regularly delivering product increments

• Working closely with development team located in Paris (remotely)

• Applying release processes, and L1/L2/L3 support in case of production issue by applying technical fixes

• Seeking the most appropriate solution to ensure security, scalability and efficiency

• Analyzing errors and contributing to continuous improvement solutions

• Participating weekend operations for resiliency tests, upgrades etc. (2-3 weekends per year)

You're ideal for this role if you have:

•  5+ years relevant experience in Java backend development

• Experience working with Spring & Spring Boot frameworks

• Familiar with and proficient in using Jenkins and Maven

• Comfortable working with relational databases and SQL
• Understand how web services and are familiar with monitoring tools like Logstash, Kibana and Elasticsearch (nice to have)

• Agile & BDD practices knowledge 

• Fluent in English (Polish or French will be an asset)
• Experience in finance and banking would be a big plus
