Senior Java Developer

Wroclaw - based opportunity with fully remote work (1-2 days/ month from office).

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading technology organization specializing in building robust, secure, and high-performance software solutions within the energy industry. Your expertise will contribute to developing, maintaining, and documenting key systems that support critical infrastructure, fostering innovation and efficiency in energy management.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance backend systems using Java, adhering to best practices and architectural standards
• Design and implement microservices, REST APIs, and integration patterns, ensuring scalability and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and optimize system functionalities
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes proactively
• Apply DevSecOps practices to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring processes
• Utilize containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), or Nomad to streamline deployment pipelines
• Ensure compliance with data security standards and quality assurance protocols
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices and innovative ideas

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Java development in backend environments
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, integration standards, and microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Spring Boot (core, data, security), JPA, Hibernate
• Experience with REST API development and database management, preferably Oracle SQL
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and containerization technologies such as Docker and K8s or Nomad
• Understanding of UI design principles and web usability practices (additional advantage)
• Experience with tools such as Apache Kafka, MinIO, Jenkins, and GitLab (plus)
• Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus

Language Required for the role:

• Polish – good command required
• English – communicative proficiency
