Senior Manual Tester – Web and Backend Systems

As a Manual Tester working for our client, a leading company in the insurance industry. Your expertise will ensure seamless end-to-end testing of web and backend systems, utilizing your skills to design detailed test cases, execute thorough manual tests, and collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and execute manual functional, regression, and end-to-end tests for web and backend applications.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test scenarios.
• Collaborate with automation testers to identify automation opportunities and optimize testing workflows.
• Utilize SQL for data-driven testing: prepare test data, run queries including joins, and verify results.
• Leverage AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance testing efficiency, generate test data, and optimize test cases.
• Work closely with developers, analysts, and Product Owners in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment, supporting continuous integration and delivery.
• Maintain and update detailed test documentation, ensuring traceability and quality standards.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing of web and backend systems.
• Strong skills in creating detailed test cases, including clear steps, expected results, and documentation.
• Practical SQL knowledge for data validation and complex query creation (joins, conditions).
• Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestFLO/Xray, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Openness to new technologies and enthusiasm for AI-driven testing improvements.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience testing backend systems involving complex data logic with SQL.
• API testing experience using Postman or Curl.
• Knowledge of log analysis tools like Kibana, Grafana, or Splunk.
• Domain expertise in finance or insurance sectors.
• Ability to propose process improvements and contribute to QA strategy.
