Senior Production Support Engineer – Financial Services

As a Senior Production Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial services industry, committed to transforming payment ecosystems through cutting-edge technology. Your main responsibilities:

• Run and maintain multiple billing and payment systems, ensuring high availability and stability.
• Perform Level 2/3 support, troubleshooting incidents, and resolving complex production issues swiftly.
• Manage service management activities, including change management, security patching, and risk control.
• Conduct quality assurance, testing, and support system design improvements for ongoing operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, monitor system health, and optimize performance.
• Support and improve incident, problem, and change processes in accordance with best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer, fostering team growth and technical mastery.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in banking IT operations, production support, or DevOps roles.
• Strong expertise in Linux (Red Hat, Sun Solaris, Windows) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace), web servers (WebSphere, Apache), and scripting languages (Shell, SQL, Bash).
• Knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiarity with payment systems, transaction processing, ISO 20022, CBPR+, SWIFT, or SEPA standards is a plus.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Legal eligibility to work within the European Union.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, or cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of messaging systems like JMS, NATS, IBM MQ.
• Certifications or demonstrated expertise in payment protocols or security standards.
