Test Consultant Specialist

As a Test Consultant Specialist, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution undergoing a significant transformation in their banking application landscape. You will collaborate closely with IT and business teams to ensure robust testing strategies, enhancing customer experiences and ensuring systems meet business functions. Your expertise will drive the documentation of business scenarios, the creation of functional, non-functional, and regression test cases, and the coordination of end-to-end testing processes.

Your main responsibilities:

• Establishing testing protocols for banking applications
• Recommending testing needs to validate system functionality
• Providing consultancy to the functional test team
• Proposing changes to improve customer experience
• Translating business use cases into test cases
• Coordinating with Business Analysts during requirement understanding and project demos
• Providing inputs to Test Strategy preparation and Project Estimation
• Designing automated test solutions and producing test data
• Supporting end-to-end testing, defect clarifications, and quality assurance
• Ensuring test data availability and quality
• Promoting re-use through shared testing artifacts
• Evaluating information for impact analysis across projects and platforms
• Writing automated regression test scenarios
• Conducting test result walkthroughs with business stakeholders
• Capturing, retesting, and closing defects
• Publishing daily testing project status and updating progress in stand-ups
• Conducting root cause analysis for defects and creating preventive action plans
• Highlighting project issues to ITPM and Test lead
• Owning end-to-end testing responsibility
• Capturing and implementing lessons learned from projects
• Supporting testing for PVT and production issues as required

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies
• Experience with tools such as SQL, Cucumber, Selenium, Tosca, Python, REST API, JIRA, Java, and Business Driven Development
• Experience working in DevOps teams and Agile environments
• Proficiency in functional testing, API testing, automation testing, and performance testing
• Strong communication skills in English
• Team management and coordination experience
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude
• Medium level analysis and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Knowledge of the software project lifecycle
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in a financial institution or banking environment
• Advanced proficiency in automation testing tools
• Expertise in performance testing and load testing
• Certification in software testing or quality assurance
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments
