Senior Developer PL/SQL Oracle

Transform Data into Insights – Senior PL/SQL Developer Wanted!

Warsaw-based with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month)

As a Senior Developer PL/SQL Oracle, you will be working for our client, a renowned leader in the online banking sector. In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and improvement of key IT systems, collaborating closely with business users to develop new solutions. You will also be responsible for optimizing database architecture, ensuring efficient data processes, and participating in continuous integration and delivery. The position involves working on the development and evolution of SQL-based systems and improving data quality in the client’s IT systems.

Your main responsibilities: Lead project and implementation work in the development of IT systems

• Design data architecture and IT systems
• Collaborate with business users in gathering and analyzing requirements for new solutions
• Design, implement, and develop SQL-based systems, with future integration of Informatica PowerCenter
• Participate actively in internal software testing, implementing automated tests, and CI/CD processes
• Create and update technical and functional system documentation
• Implement actions to improve data quality in systems and enhance the production

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Practical experience in designing, implementing, and deploying ETL solutions in database environments (preferably Oracle or Snowflake)
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter (IPC), Talend, or similar
• Strong knowledge of SQL (and potentially PL/SQL) with experience in query performance optimization
• Excellent understanding of relational database models and the ability to design high-quality physical data models
• Proficiency in using Git and a strong understanding of branching patterns and conflict resolution
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and the ability to work within them
• Ability to design solutions based on business requirements
• Excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to work well in a team
• Familiarity with business and system requirements analysis for IT systems, particularly analytical thinking and precise communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal clients

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Practical experience in designing and programming information systems for financial institutions, telecommunications, or similar institutions regarding the nature of their operations
• Knowledge of AutomateNOW
• Knowledge of APEX, Power BI, Streamlit
• Familiarity with tools used in CI/CD, such as SonarQube, TeamCity
• Knowledge of other programming languages like Python (including the Pandas library), C#, or Perl
