As a Splunk ITSI Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial leader, on a mission-critical observability initiative. Your role will focus on enhancing operational visibility, driving incident efficiency, and reducing MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTTD (Mean Time to Detect) across vital business services. You will be responsible for designing and implementing Splunk ITSI solutions, ensuring seamless integration of IT infrastructure and applications to provide real-time insights and optimized system performance.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing Splunk ITSI solutions for comprehensive observability
• Developing and configuring ITSI services, dashboards, and correlation searches to meet business needs
• Integrating ITSI with other monitoring tools for unified system health and performance views
• Collaborating with teams to identify and define KPIs and SLOs for critical services
• Troubleshooting and resolving ITSI-related issues, including data ingestion and search performance
• Utilizing Splunk ITSI AI and ML capabilities for anomaly detection and predictive analytics
• Optimizing incident detection and resolution processes using advanced Splunk capabilities
• Ensuring continuous improvement of monitoring practices through proactive system adjustments
• Supporting the integration of new services and systems into the Splunk ITSI environment
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing training on ITSI features to team members

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience with Splunk ITSI and Splunk Enterprise
• Strong expertise in scripting languages such as Python and Shell
• Advanced knowledge of SPL (Search Processing Language)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex Splunk ITSI configurations and resolve performance issues
• Experience in developing KPIs and dashboards to enhance system observability
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and application monitoring
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous system improvement

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Splunk Machine Learning Tool Kit
• Experience with mainframe integrations
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and observability
