As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services institution. You will contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge systems to enhance operational efficiency and security. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will focus on automation, scalability, and innovation within the client’s technology infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of robust, reliable, and compliant solutions. This role provides the opportunity to work with modern DevOps tools and practices in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Configuring and managing operating systems, including RedHat (RHEL) and Windows Server
- Automating workflows and tasks using Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and Helm
- Building and maintaining containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GKE
- Setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to support continuous delivery
- Troubleshooting complex OS and network configurations, including routing, firewalls, and proxies
- Managing and monitoring systems using tools like Splunk, Application Dynamics, and xMatters
- Ensuring secure secrets management with Hashicorp Vault
- Supporting observability initiatives, including implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Collaborating with stakeholders to implement and improve cybersecurity solutions
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong understanding of RedHat (RHEL) administration, including disk management and scripting
- Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and security configurations
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with vulnerability management processes
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Understanding of ITIL-based change management processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, global team
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio
- Experience with databases, including MSSQL and PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with observability tools, such as ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Familiarity with Agile tools and practices, including Jira and ServiceNow
- Exposure to audit and compliance processes within IT environments
