As a Data Architect, you will be working for our client, a global financial organization focused on enabling business growth and innovation through data-driven solutions. You will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing their data infrastructure to support critical business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to design cutting-edge data pipelines, enhance monitoring capabilities, and contribute to building self-service data platforms that drive operational excellence and strategic insights.
Your main responsibilities:
- Designing and maintaining scalable data pipeline architecture
- Developing infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources
- Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical challenges
- Enhancing monitoring and alerting capabilities to achieve end-to-end observability
- Improving data delivery through process automation and optimization
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Supporting BI and analytics teams by providing reliable data platforms
- Promoting Agile and SRE practices for efficient data engineering
- Staying updated on emerging tools, technologies, and industry regulations
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration for effective solution delivery
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proven experience in developing and leading data platforms
- Strong expertise in working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools
- Knowledge of Splunk, Kafka, and Grafana for data monitoring and analysis
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
- Self-driven and confident in independent decision-making
- A background in IT within the financial sector
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience combining large, disconnected datasets
- Familiarity with data security regulations, including privacy and residency laws
- Expertise in creating scalable data solutions in dynamic environments
- A track record of driving SRE culture through innovative practices
