As a DevOps Observability SME, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, driving cutting-edge projects to enhance their observability and DevOps capabilities. You will focus on building scalable solutions, automating processes, and developing robust monitoring dashboards for storage and cloud environments. This role offers a chance to collaborate with diverse teams, leverage innovative technologies, and lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level DevOps strategies.
Your main responsibilities:
- Leading the development and enhancement of observability dashboards using tools like Grafana and Splunk
- Supporting cloud insight solutions for storage devices, including reporting and data enrichment
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline automation based on client requirements
- Programming applications optimized for AWS public cloud environments
- Delivering a self-service data lake solution for dynamic report generation
- Assessing DevOps maturity and proposing innovative solutions for improvement
- Automating everyday developer or operations functions through scripting or templates
- Identifying new tools and processes to enhance the DevOps platform (on-premise/cloud)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement optimal DevOps solutions
- Leading the team in driving solution adoption and achieving measurable results
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Expertise in observability tools like Grafana, Splunk, and related dashboards
- Experience in automated deployment and implementation within AWS cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Shell Script, or YAML
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform
- Knowledge of storage systems like NetApp, VMAX, and Pure from a programming perspective
- Strong understanding of infrastructure provisioning and cloud maintenance
- Familiarity with database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases
- Experience working in agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with global teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills in a DevOps environment
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Expertise with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with log aggregation and analytics tools such as ELK, Sysdig, or Datadog
- Background in Test-Driven Development and code quality assessment tools
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end monitoring solutions using tools like AppDynamics or Dynatrace
- Proficiency in developing Rest APIs and integration projects
- Familiarity with web servers like NGINX and report generation tools like Cognos
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and multi-tier application architectures
