DevOps Engineer

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services provider focusing on investment banking and trading. They are embarking on a major data integration program aimed at enhancing business operations across multiple regions and time zones. You will play a crucial role in streamlining processes, developing DevOps and DataOps practices, and ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations. Your expertise will be pivotal in enabling efficient, data-driven decision-making for senior management and contributing to the company’s global strategy.

Your main responsibilities: Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application components and data models

• Automating and streamlining workflows to enhance delivery and operational efficiency
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Investigating and resolving vulnerabilities and deficiencies
• Ensuring security compliance and maintaining up-to-date solutions
• Collaborating with Data Engineers, QA, and Business teams to implement DevOps/DataOps best practices
• Mentoring and guiding junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Monitoring system performance and automating failure response and resolution

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven hands-on experience in a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer or SRE role
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible Tower, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar
• Strong skills in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and Groovy
• Proficiency in using Git as a version control system
• Familiarity with Agile environments and related toolsets
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Enthusiasm for rapidly learning and developing both technical and soft skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team setting

It’s a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with GCP Data solutions, including Data Fusion, Dataproc, and Cloud Run
• Knowledge of Data Vault modeling or data ingestion pipelines using tools like GCP Data Fusion
• Expertise in SQL querying and optimizing complex queries in BigQuery
• Experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, or related technologies
• Understanding of modern data contract best practices
