Azure Cloud Engineer

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution dedicated to innovation and technological advancement. This project involves architecting, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud solutions to support the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of cloud environments, collaborating with various teams to deliver robust and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Setting up initial Azure subscriptions
• Configuring and managing Azure networking
• Deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service
• Implementing Azure functions and app services
• Managing Azure Active Directory (AAD) credentials
• Integrating solutions across multiple cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud
• Developing scripts and automation tools using Python, Bash, and PowerShell
• Ensuring adherence to risk and control frameworks
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with application teams and cross-functional IT groups
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Hands-on experience with Azure subscription setup
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and security practices
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and container orchestration
• Proficiency in Azure Functions and serverless architecture
• Familiarity with Azure App Services and identity management
• Expertise in at least one other cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Alibaba Cloud)
• Working knowledge of software development tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell and data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV)
• Understanding of risk and control frameworks in IT environments
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry
• Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
• Proactive approach with a high sense of personal integrity and work ethic
• Proven technical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting expertise
• Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
