Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month)

As a Data Scientist Analyst, you will be working for our client, one of the top financial institutions, helping to build advanced models and analyze data to drive key projects in areas such as process mining, churn analysis, fraud prevention, and NLP. This role requires not only the ability to create models but also to understand and solve business problems, discover relevant data, and present a product vision that engages business stakeholders. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between statistical expertise, machine learning, and product-oriented engineering.

Your main responsibilities: Develop and implement models for data analysis across various projects

• Understand and translate business problems into data-driven solutions
• Identify and source relevant data within and outside the organization
• Present product visions and engage business partners in model development
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex problems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of models
• Utilize process mining to uncover inefficiencies and suggest improvements
• Conduct churn analysis to predict customer behavior and enhance retention
• Implement fraud prevention measures using advanced analytical methods
• Leverage NLP to extract meaningful insights from unstructured data

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (including libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, and matplotlib)
• Familiarity with ML libraries
• Ability to understand and solve complex business problems
• Experience in data modeling and statistical analysis
• Experience in process mining and churn analysis
• Skills in fraud prevention and NLP

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Hadoop and Apache Spark
• Familiarity with Java/Scala
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and Linux Administration
