As a DLP Policy Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution that ensures the protection of critical functions and high-value transactions across the organization. Your role will involve safeguarding the company’s brand, financial assets, and information by supporting and implementing advanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies. You will collaborate with teams across the globe to drive compliance with data security policies, manage DLP tools, and work closely with stakeholders to enhance security measures in line with the company’s IT and business strategies.
Your main responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery and operation of global DLP strategies
- Providing expertise on DLP issues and representing the function in various forums
- Implementing controls to ensure compliance with data security policies
- Collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to drive the IT security strategy
- Creating, tuning, and recertifying DLP policies, including testing and deployment
- Managing policy and whitelist guidelines for data in motion and data at rest
- Building and deploying tools to support data security and integration strategies
- Hosting and leading DLP governance meetings with various stakeholders
- Engaging with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Contributing to risk reduction by proactively addressing IT and business risks
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Extensive experience with DLP products (preferably Symantec DLP, McAfee CASB, and MIP data classification)
- Demonstrable expertise in Data in Motion (DIM) and Data at Rest (DAR) security
- Proven experience in policy creation, tuning, and recertification, including testing and deployment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience leading governance meetings
- Experience in building, deploying, and using tools to support data and application security strategies
- Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- A track record of making strategic decisions with a focus on risk management
- Knowledge of test planning, scripting, and defect management
- Familiarity with dealing with auditors and regulators
- Ability to collaborate effectively across globally dispersed teams
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with test automation in the context of security policies
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory management within IT security
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships related to IT security solutions
