Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office)
As a Murex Specialist, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undertaking large-scale technology and regulatory transformation projects. You will be collaborating with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to gather and translate complex requirements into effective design solutions. In this role, you are ensuring high-quality delivery of enhancements to trading and risk systems, supporting critical business operations across global sites. You are also acting as a key bridge between stakeholders, development teams, and end-users, contributing to efficient, compliant, and innovative solutions.
Your main responsibilities: Liaising with business, IT development, and support teams to gather requirements
- Translating requirements into design solutions that meet business needs
- Delivering high-quality system enhancements within demanding timescales
- Ensuring consistent architecture and business processes across sites
- Liaising with external vendors for core bug fixes and improvements
- Providing support and guidance to end users and IT team members
- Developing logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
- Working in an Agile and DevOps environment to manage production issues
- Maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Managing activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Finance area
- Hands-on experience with Murex v3.1 and related components
- Strong knowledge of financial derivatives, Treasury products, and trade lifecycle
- Experience with market data, curve construction, pricing, and risk calculation
- Proficiency in Sybase SQL and Linux scripting (Bash/Ksh)
- Knowledge of IT service management processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management)
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently with a positive attitude
- Fluency in written and spoken English
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience in Markets Treasury or Balance Sheet related areas
- Knowledge of Java, Shell, Python, or other modern technologies
- Familiarity with XML standards such as FpML or FIX
- Experience working in global teams across multiple cultures
