React + Java Engineer

As a React + Java Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services. You will join a new development team focused on delivering and supporting a strategic risk management platform. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in an Agile and DevOps-driven environment, contributing to the enhancement and development of critical systems. The team is committed to innovation and high-quality delivery to support the business’s risk management capabilities.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing a UI and BI solution
• Collaborating with business analysts, vendors, and IT teams for requirement analysis and solution design
• Adopting DevOps and Agile principles
• Ensuring test-driven development and close collaboration with team members in London, Krakow, and China
• Supporting platform incident resolution, monitoring, and problem management
• Writing reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in UI engineering

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Rich and hands-on project experience in UI design and development with ReactJS for BI solutions
• Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices
• Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems
• Self-motivation and willingness to learn new technologies and business domains
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of ES6+, JSX, HTML, and CSS
• Proficiency with ReactJS and its ecosystem tools
• Experience with test automation frameworks for UI development
• Proficiency in Java 11+ or Python 3.7+

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in a UX designer role
• Hands-on API development experience for UI integration
• Experience with containerization and microservice architecture
• Knowledge of one web application framework (e.g., Spring, Node.js, Django)
• Knowledge of financial risk management in the banking or financial industry
• Knowledge specific to the traded risk domain
• Understanding of the client’s policies, processes, and procedures
• Familiarity with Vue.js, AngularJS, Webpack, and Babel
• Experience with Spring Boot and Swagger
• Proficiency with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Scrum Master or PMP certification
• FRM or CFA certification
