As a SaaS Governance Specialist, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, ensuring that the deployment of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions is secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will face challenges related to the consumption of SaaS products within a highly regulated environment, streamlining governance procedures, and collaborating with SaaS IT Service Owners. Your role is pivotal in the selection, assessment, onboarding, and management of SaaS solutions across the organization’s global businesses and functions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Supporting the SaaS Team in driving appropriate adoption of SaaS
• Ensuring Cloud technology controls relevant to SaaS governance and security are met
• Working closely with IT Service Owners to understand their security and governance positions
• Supporting IT Service Owners throughout the SaaS delivery lifecycle
• Providing consultancy and acting as a point of escalation for issue and conflict resolution
• Assisting with contract and licensing management
• Ensuring that valid contracts for SaaS are in place
• Reinforcing SaaS programme governance within the Global Cloud Services team
• Evolving analysis with information from Third Party Management and other relevant policies
• Partnering to maintain the SaaS inventory and pipeline
• Making regular updates in keeping with strategic changes and SaaS adoption progress

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Broad understanding of Software as a Service models
• Awareness of public Cloud service providers (e.g., MS Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of data security and regulatory requirements within financial services
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Good teamwork skills and experience in dealing with multiple support groups
• Operational effectiveness in delivering solutions that align with design patterns and security standards
• A track record of driving decisions collaboratively and resolving conflicts
• Experience in business analysis or consulting roles involving enterprise adoption of Cloud
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with contract negotiation and management
• Familiarity with SaaS vendor management
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks
• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
