As a Senior Devops Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent global banking and financial services organization, involved in a transformative Forecasting project within the Finance IT sector. The role focuses on establishing a dynamic development team in Poland, aligned with Finance IT strategy and engineering excellence standards. This greenfield project utilizes the latest technology stack on Google Cloud, offering a challenging opportunity for Cloud Analytical framework development.

Your main responsibilities:

Provide technical consultation and leadership to development team members, conducting feasibility studies and initiating complex projects

• Offer technical analysis, solutions, and consultation on business issues, ensuring alignment with business technology strategies
• Gather user requirements, document detailed specifications, and translate business needs into executable artifacts for development
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Assist in system testing, test plan preparation, and test case execution, working closely with the development team and business users
• Design, code, and debug modernized applications, translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Develop and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using open-source technologies or cloud-native services

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Demonstrable 5+ years of experience in Cloud native technologies, with around 10 years of total experience
• Proficiency in automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD processes
• Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, or equivalent technologies
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with popular technological stacks like Kubernetes, Kafka, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), Redis, and Elasticsearch
• Good experience on building monitoring and/or observabilities by using AppDynamic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack and other equivalences
• Experience developing automation or applications with high-level languages such as Java and/or Python
• Familiarity with microservices, containerized technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and data mesh development patterns
• A University Degree (or above) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Any GCP certifications or contributions to engineering communities
• Deep knowledge of databases or certifications on architecture/programming
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark or Flink
• Proficiency in databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, or HBase
• Certification or knowledge in K8s, Kafka, Kong Gateway, or equivalent technologies
• Any experience of well-known engineering community contribution
