Storage Engineer

Elevate data storage solutions in a global leaders vibrant tech environment!

This is a Luxembourg-based hybrid opportunity – 2 days from home per week, possible after the onboarding phase of approximately 1 month.

As a Storage Engineer, you will join the team of our client, a prominent leader in the software management industry. You will be pivotal in enhancing their storage solutions, deploying and managing storage area networks, and integrating advanced storage technologies.

Your main responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage SAN switches, ensuring efficient operations and migrations
• Work with storage solutions including Brocade DCX, Dell EMC platforms (Unity, Vplex, Elastic Cloud Storage, Isilon), and Hitachi VSP
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash (KSH, Perl) for automation and operational efficiency
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation
• Participate in on-call duties to provide 24/7 support for critical storage infrastructure
• Manage storage configurations and optimizations across various platforms, including Unix, ZFS, Aix MPIO, and Linux Device Mapper
• Oversee and maintain VMware ESX Vcenter environments

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 6 to 10 years experience with SAN Switches deployment and migration
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, with knowledge of Ansible being an added advantage
• Strong understanding of volume management in Unix environments and VMware infrastructure
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and adherence to best practices in IT service management
• Fluent English and French

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Proficiency in Spanish
