As a Technical Lead, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on the Client Developer Portal project. This initiative aims to support all lines of business by delivering technical API documentation and Sandbox capabilities to assist developers in utilizing Client’s externally available APIs. Your role involves leading the Developer Portal Pod within the OBIT team, focusing on enhancing technical documentation, Sandbox features, and API usability.

Your main responsibilities:

• Participating in Backlog grooming of JIRA stories to ensure accuracy and actionability
• Joining Daily Standups with the team for seamless handover to build processes
• Creating Swagger files for APIs in the portal
• Supporting QA with technical questions during UAT
• Assisting developers with technical inquiries in support of build activities
• Building and maintaining Postman collections for APIs in the portal
• Assisting tech BAs in sourcing information for JIRA stories
• Improving the accuracy and efficiency of swagger and sandbox builds against production

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience in API Engineering, Microservices & Java
• Proficiency in authoring API technical documentation with a solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, and Swagger Standards
• Familiarity with developing SDKs
• Proficiency in tools such as Github, JIRA, Confluence, Markdown HTML, Jenkins, and Postman
• Skills in API troubleshooting
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in output
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to elucidate complex or technical issues
• Good relationship management skills to address various conflicting priorities
• Effective time management and prioritization skills for projects and tasks

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in Open Banking
• Understanding of best practices in external API technical documentation, preferably in financial services
• Experience with Cucumber
