UI Developer (React)

As a UI Developer (React), you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution. You’ll be part of the Cash Equities Electronic Trading Technology team, responsible for the execution stack and development of algorithmic trading solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple trading hubs to deliver clean and user-focused front-end features.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders, back-end developers, and UX designers
• Delivering clean and user-focused front-end features for Cash Equities Algorithmic Trading Technology
• Utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript (ES7+), ReactJS, and Angular for development
• Conducting end-to-end testing and unit testing, including Jest
• Demonstrating understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID, DRY, and Agile methodologies

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES7+)
• Experience with ReactJS or Angular, and willingness to learn new technologies
• Exposure to end-to-end testing tools like Cypress or WebDriver
• Strong understanding of HTML5 ecosystem and CSS fundamentals
• Working knowledge of Git and Bash shell
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across regions
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize tasks effectively

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with websockets, SSE, and related technologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Teamcity and Webpack
• Knowledge of CSS Modules, Flexbox, CSS Grid, and Sass
• Understanding of Canvas API for implementing animations and drawing capabilities
• Exposure to Electron, Java, Scala, or C#
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and basic scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash
