As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution known for developing secure, large-scale digital banking solutions. You will be part of a dynamic QA team driving innovation in test automation for a suite of customer-facing web and mobile applications. The role focuses on building and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality releases through continuous integration, and contributing to the broader quality strategy. Your main responsibilities: Designing and maintaining automation script suites for web and mobile applications
- Creating and enhancing existing test automation tools
- Performing system, integration, and acceptance tests
- Testing applications embedded on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Documenting test results and raising defect tickets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including BAs, POs, APMs, and Developers
- Ensuring adequate automated test coverage for delivered functionalities
- Participating in engineering discipline and standards compliance
- Supporting fellow QA engineers within the team
- Contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Hands-on experience with Core Java and Selenium
- Experience with TypeScript and Playwright
- Proficiency with Cucumber, BDD methodology, and Gherkin syntax
- Familiarity with Java IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ
- Strong command of Git, JIRA, and Jenkins
- Solid understanding of Angular or React-based UI
- Deep knowledge of UI test automation methodologies
- Working experience in Agile or SAFe environments with in-sprint automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English
It’s a strong plus if you have:
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured or JUnit for API testing
- Good understanding of REST API operations (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE)
- Familiarity with HTTP and JSON protocols and syntax
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Client, or Anypoint
- Knowledge of Retail Banking functions and requirements
