As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, to support their investment banking sector. You will be part of a small, dynamic IT team that is developing a new platform to provide a comprehensive dashboard for Front Office trading supervisors. This project involves building an Ingestion Framework, a new UI, and integrating a Workflow utility, which will be used in over 50 countries. You will collaborate with technologists and Product Owners to drive delivery within an Agile framework and ensure the platform meets business requirements.

Your main responsibilities: Conducting current state analysis and to-be impact analysis

  • Translating business requirements from the Product Owner into concise and clear agile technical user stories
  • Collaborating with technologists to drive delivery within an Agile framework
  • Participating in BDD and testing activities
  • Understanding Workflows and Data-warehousing
  • Performing data analysis, mapping, and modeling
  • Upholding work ethos and principles established in the BA community for the program
  • Working closely with the BA community and engineering team
  • Maintaining a full and up-to-date understanding of the business and IT strategy, current practices, and system capabilities
  • Participating in agile ceremonies (stand-up, planning, reviews)

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience as an IT business analyst in the financial industry
  • Understanding of investment banking products, PnL, Market and Credit Risk
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience in agile projects and using collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Solid understanding of complex IT systems landscape; experience in defining interfaces and messaging protocols is advantageous
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills
  • Experience managing projects that span changes across multiple systems and teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels within the organization
  • Multitasking and time management skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience within Conduct or Regulatory
  • Hands-on experience with BDD and testing
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Familiarity with MS-Project, JIRA, and Confluence
