Cyber SRE Cryptography Engineer

As a Cyber SRE Cryptography Engineer, you will be working for our Client, a leading global financial institution dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of trillions of dollars in transactions worldwide. You will be a subject matter expert in cryptography, playing a crucial role in defining and implementing cryptographic operations that align with the organization’s objectives. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining robust cryptographic services and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continual improvements in cryptography management.

Your main responsibilities:

• Work closely with global team members as an SME for Venafi Product and GCAS
• Maintain services and infrastructure related to cryptographic operations
• Provide technical consultancy and support across a broad range of cryptographic technologies
• Ensure control objectives are met and translate requirements into business deliverables
• Help define the roadmap for continual improvements in cryptographic services management
• Work collaboratively with engineering and operational teams for strategic cryptography management

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Venafi Experience
• Proficiency in: Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), Cryptography, Cloud Key Management, Encryption Key Management, Cybersecurity governance,
• Substantial experience in delivering cryptography services in a large organization
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux Servers administration
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and financial services business models
• Knowledge of industry cyber security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, ISO2700x series, PCI DSS)
• Experience with cryptographic modules and solutions (e.g., HSMs, TPMs)
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure technical platforms
• Understanding of SSH/SSL functionality and usage
• Experience interfacing with technology teams to bring lab concepts to market
• Strong documentation skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Academic or professional qualification in cryptography or cybersecurity field
• Knowledge of: Hardware Security Module (HSM), Confluence, Jira, Advanced Data Analysis in Excel, Service Now, Github, Splunk
• Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields
• Industry qualifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM)
• Advanced Data Analysis in Excel
