As a Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on enhancing its data infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a shared data model between two data layers, involving extensive data transformation and API development. Your expertise will help streamline data processes and improve the overall efficiency of the data platforms. Working with cutting-edge technologies like Data Bricks and MS Azure, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless data operations and migrations.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing a shared data model between two data layers
• Performing data transformation tasks to ensure data integrity and quality
• Developing APIs to support data integration and access
• Utilizing Data Bricks for efficient data processing and management
• Implementing and managing data solutions on MS Azure
• Ensuring seamless data migration across platforms
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
• Monitoring and optimizing data workflows for performance
• Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Maintaining documentation for data processes and systems

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience in data transformation and modeling
• Proficiency in API development
• Hands-on experience with Data Bricks and MS Azure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of data migration processes
• Experience in ensuring data quality and integrity
• Familiarity with modern data processing techniques
• Ability to document data processes and systems effectively

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in the banking industry
• Consultancy experience
• Familiarity with additional data platforms and tools
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
