DevOps Engineer

Warsaw-based opportunity to work in hybrid model (2-4 days in the office/month)

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. You will contribute to the integration of cutting-edge public cloud infrastructure and services into a robust trading platform that supports global financial markets. In this role, you will leverage advanced DevOps engineering expertise to enhance platform scalability, ensure security, and streamline infrastructure pipelines.

Your main responsibilities: Collaborate with application developers, technology infrastructure teams, and third-party cloud vendors to integrate public cloud infrastructure and services efficiently

• Work closely with the Cloud Security team to ensure cloud services meet security standards and are prioritized effectively
• Partner with multiple teams to align technology integrations with business objectives
• Identify and implement necessary system enhancements to improve processes and platform architecture
• Ensure compliance with DevOps best practices and the organization’s strategic technology plan
• Provide production support, including troubleshooting, client assistance, and addressing platform stability issues
• Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions using advanced interpretive thinking
• Assess risks effectively during business decision-making processes, safeguarding the organization’s reputation, clients, and assets

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience designing DevOps solutions for enterprise container platforms, including Kubernetes Services in AWS EKS or Google Cloud
• Expertise in microservice architecture, Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Kubernetes-related tools such as S3, EFS, Lustre FSx, Kubernetes cluster autoscaler, Karpenter, and KEDA
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, kubectl, and Hashicorp Vault
• Strong knowledge of managing vulnerabilities and maintaining robust security for cloud-based applications and services.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing platforms or investment banking technology (a plus)
• Java programming and Spring framework experience (a plus)
• Understanding of agile software development practices and tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, JIRA, Artifactory, and Jenkins
• Advanced experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Grafana
• A flexible, adaptive mindset to respond to fast-evolving technology and business demands
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
