As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution embarking on a transformative project to enhance their Treasury capabilities. This role involves contributing to a newly formed team focused on building and refining Stress Testing products within the Treasury Portfolio. You will be engaging in a green-field project utilizing a modern open-source technology stack on Google Cloud, and will have the opportunity to influence both the design and deployment of scalable, cloud-based financial applications.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud
• Developing and managing tools for automating processes and setting up monitoring
• Collaborating with global teams to deliver effective solutions and support
• Building modern applications using micro-services and micro-frontends
• Working directly with business users during system testing and user acceptance phases
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to development team members
• Analyzing and designing solutions to address business problems and technology strategies
• Participating in Agile development activities including SDLC, DevOps, and production support

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• A University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience developing scalable software solutions in Java
• Strong skills in building containerized micro-services with Docker
• Experience with web UI development using React.js
• Familiarity with Python or willingness to learn
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adhering to DevSecOps principles
• Passion for engineering with a focus on quality, automation, and security
• Proficiency in Junit and CI/CD toolchains
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Linux and data technologies (SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL/ELT)
• Knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, and Spring Cloud
• Familiarity with Apache Beam, Spark, Flink, or Airflow
• Experience with Google cloud-native technologies and RESTful APIs
• Exposure to Cucumber or QA automation frameworks
