As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution that specializes in identifying and mitigating financial crime risks through advanced analytics and big data technologies. The project focuses on implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions that enable a global community of analysts and data scientists to analyze, investigate, and share critical information. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure the integration of DevOps practices and automation into the compliance use cases deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Your main responsibilities:
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for compliance-related use cases on GCP
- Collaborate with central architecture, security, and engineering teams to ensure cloud architecture aligns with compliance requirements
- Share best practices and solutions with other development teams working on GCP use cases
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack
- Optimize the deployment and management of applications using Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
- Write and maintain Python and shell scripts to automate workflows
- Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient GCP environments for all development and production activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the cloud infrastructure
- Manage source control, versioning, and collaboration using tools like Github or Bitbucket
- Contribute to the agile development process, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong knowledge of GCP cloud architecture and services
- Proficiency in Python or shell scripting
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence)
- Expertise in automation toolsets such as Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack
- Experience with version control and collaboration platforms like Github or Bitbucket
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively
- Experience working in an agile environment with globally distributed teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and approaches
- Ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality solutions
It is a strong plus if you have:
- GCP certification
- Experience in data transformation via SQL or similar tools
