Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (1-2 days in the office/month)

As an IT Analyst, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, contributing to the development and optimization of advanced IT systems supporting critical banking operations. You will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, designing functional specifications, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help deliver high-quality solutions that meet both user and business expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your main responsibilities: Gathering business requirements and preparing specifications for IT system changes, including conducting analytical workshops

  • Analyzing requirements for possible solutions, optimizing them based on knowledge of current business processes and banking practices
  • Presenting analysis results in descriptive form and UML diagrams
  • Verifying project changes for consistency with architecture
  • Preparing functional specifications for IT systems
  • Close collaboration with developers, architects, analysts, and testers in project implementation

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A university degree in IT, mathematics, economics, or equivalent project experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a business-system analyst
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and document business requirements, conduct analytical workshops, and translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
  • Extensive experience in UML and BPMN process modeling
  • Knowledge of methodologies for gathering requirements and preparing IT system functional specifications
  • Practical experience in preparing, defining, describing, and modifying business processes
  • Ability to analyze system interdependencies and recommend technological and/or system solutions
  • Skills in conducting workshops with stakeholders, building relationships between business and technical teams
  • Experience working with product teams and developers
  • Ability to manage priorities, project scope, MD budget, and maintain backlog throughout the project lifecycle
  • Presentation skills to explain and justify solution concepts
  • Willingness to improve competencies and openness to learning modern SDLC tools and areas
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, e.g., Scrum, Kanban
  • A sense of responsibility for assigned tasks

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience in cybersecurity projects
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools supporting analysis: Confluence (Wiki, articles), Jira (tasks, backlog)
  • Knowledge of the banking sector
