IT Project Manager

As an IT Project Manager, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, leading multiple technology projects that drive digital transformation and modernization. You will be managing software upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, and compliance-related initiatives while ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and timeline constraints. Your role involves collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing project execution, and driving adherence to best practices. You will also be responsible for risk management, reporting, and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

Your main responsibilities:

• Leading multiple IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and benefits realization
• Managing project portfolios, budgets, and forecasts effectively
• Hosting meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and providing periodic updates
• Presenting project progress to steering committees with clear reporting packs
• Defining project goals, objectives, and necessary activities for success
• Managing risks, issues, and changes while ensuring project compliance
• Overseeing milestones, tasks, and resource allocation across multiple projects
• Collaborating with infrastructure teams and business units for seamless execution
• Maintaining accurate documentation in JIRA and other project management tools
• Ensuring adherence to security controls, compliance frameworks, and technology architecture standards

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT project management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA & Confluence
• Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint
• Strong understanding of technology’s role in business success
• Effective communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders
• Ability to drive compliance and enforce quality processes
• Hands-on experience managing IT project lifecycles from inception to delivery
• Capability to oversee budget planning and cost forecasting
• Proactive mindset with a drive to challenge the status quo

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Azure cloud technologies
• SAFe certification or other Agile-related credentials
