IT Service Owner & Production Support Engineer

As an IT Service Owner & Production Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning, and Conversational AI Bots to optimize client experiences and enhance staff efficiency. You will support the Chronos program, focusing on client optimization, risk control, and freeing up Relationship Managers for client-facing activities. This role requires collaboration with development teams across various regions to build automation tools, monitor production environments, and ensure service continuity.

Your main responsibilities:

• Supporting and monitoring complex full-stack applications in production environments
• Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting production issues
• Managing service continuity and sustainability programs
• Tracking production issues through ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira
• Troubleshooting infrastructure issues on Linux and Windows platforms
• Supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Providing technical support for web and microservice-based applications
• Monitoring production environments using tools like AppDynamics and Grafana
• Collaborating with global teams to resolve production problems
• Releasing software across multiple environments

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Knowledge of production support processes and procedures
• Experience in root cause analysis and incident management
• Familiarity with patching and vulnerability management
• Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible
• Proficiency in shell scripting, SQL scripts, and databases like Oracle/PostgreSQL
• Experience with role-swap and disaster recovery test procedures
• Ability to create and support CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication skills for interacting with various levels and functions
• Capability to work independently and as part of a global team
• Flexibility to support colleagues and share responsibilities

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience managing batch processes in systems like Control-M
• Knowledge of Python and the Django framework
• Experience with GCP or other cloud providers like AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with development tools like GitHub, Jira, Nexus, and Webpack
• Understanding of messaging systems like MQ and PubSub
• Experience in Agile delivery processes
• Previous experience in investment banking and robotics technologies like BluePrism RPA
