As a Java API Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution focused on developing and integrating data-intensive applications using advanced messaging platforms. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that leverage Kafka for seamless data exchange and real-time processing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain robust APIs, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and scalability of the organization’s technology infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and implementing data-intensive applications using the Kafka messaging platform
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka into existing systems and applications
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues related to the Kafka messaging platform
• Implementing best practices for Kafka configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Developing and maintaining APIs for data exchange between different systems
• Designing and building microservices architecture with team members
• Writing clean and efficient code in Java and Spring Boot for seamless integration with Kafka
• Creating technical documentation and providing support to other team members
• Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data streaming and messaging platforms

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience working with API and Java development
• Proficiency in Java programming language
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API development
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification in Kafka or Spring Boot
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP
• Experience working with real-time data processing technologies
