Java Developer

This is a remote opportunity for New York-based client – work from home full-time

As a Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking industry. You will be responsible for developing cutting-edge pricing and risk solutions.

Your main responsibilities: Hands-on development using Java 17+ as the primary language

• Collaborate with front office, risk management, Quants, and DevOps teams
• Enhance development and release environments, tooling, and processes
• Work directly with Rates business front office sales and trading
• Develop interfaces and processes with Risk Management and Technology
• Provide level 3 support, working closely with the operations team and users

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience in the pricing and risk domain within investment banking
• In-depth knowledge of pricing and risk
• Proficiency in Java development, especially Java 17+
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a knack for getting things done
• Experience with Scrum/agile methodologies
• Proven track record of delivering applications from inception to production
• Extensive experience with test-driven development
• Knowledge of CI/CD in large, complex systems
