As a Java Developer, you will be working for our client on designing, building, deploying, and supporting large-scale systems in a rapidly moving environment. Equity Derivatives IT is undergoing a significant transformation project to entirely refresh platforms for large-scale compute, global data services, pricing, risk, and P&L production.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing primarily new services using modern Java on the server side
• Collaborating across internal and external clouds
• Supporting your applications from deployment to production

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Extensive knowledge of Java versions 11 and up (working on version 17 and upgrading to 21)
• Experience with Cloud development, deployment, and operations (preferably GCP, but AWS and Azure are also acceptable)
• Skills in performance tuning/optimization (JVM)
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration products (TeamCity and Jenkins)
• Solid knowledge of Git version control and workflows
• Experience with developing distributed systems (data-intensive applications, concurrency)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot/JPA
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience working with Equity Derivatives products and systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Python development/scripting skills
• Exposure to reactive programming
• Worked in financial institutions
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows for development
• Experience with MongoDB
• On-calls possibility
