Warsaw-based opportunity with the possibility to work in hybrid model

As a Java Developer, you will work for our client, one of the world’s leading investment banks. You’ll join their Core Engineering group and play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable solutions for their Risk Remediation platform. You’ll collaborate with a talented team focused on building cutting-edge solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy within their risk management framework.

Your main responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement complex Java applications using object-oriented design principles

  • Leverage your expertise in Java frameworks like DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate to build robust features
  • Integrate with and optimize existing systems using web development frameworks like Angular or React (familiarity with one or more is preferred)
  • Work with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, or MongoDB
  • Automate build and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Git experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure platform stability and performance
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Java development trends and best practices

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design principles and best practices
  • Experience with Java frameworks like DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate (experience with one or more is a plus)
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks like Angular or React (experience with one or more is preferred)
  • Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, or MongoDB
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Git
  • A strong understanding of Unix/Linux systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A passion for building high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions
