MI Reporting Business Analyst

As an MI Reporting Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, on a project focused on optimizing reporting metrics and improving data quality across the organization. You will collaborate with global stakeholders and teams to establish data governance models and provide insights through executive dashboards. This role also involves managing regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with standards such as BCBS-239, and driving automation efforts alongside the Advanced Analytics team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Establishing and managing a strategic Target Operating Model for data standards compliance
• Ensuring governance around BCBS-239 compliance processes and preparing documentation
• Collaborating with the Advanced Analytics team to improve data quality and automation
• Providing consistent, business-focused commentary and insights for executive reporting
• Sourcing and analyzing data to create senior management dashboards
• Managing stakeholder relationships and communicating key themes across the group
• Conducting compliance assessments and aligning with regulatory requirements
• Coordinating priorities and managing relationships with third-party partners
• Acting as a central point of contact for global stakeholders across technology and business
• Feeding MI data into Group Risk Appetite Measurement

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience in creating and managing Target Operating Models
• Strong knowledge of data concepts, including data models, data lineage, and critical data elements
• Familiarity with BCBS-239 standard and data quality compliance processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong writing skills for reporting and documentation
• Experience working as a Business Analyst on IT projects
• Understanding of SQL with the ability to read and translate code
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to provide business-focused commentary for executive dashboards
• Experience managing data governance and regulatory compliance

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in regulatory environments or financial risk management
• Advanced knowledge of data analytics tools and automation techniques
