Warsaw-based opportunity to work in hybrid model
As a Middle Office Senior Analyst, you will be working for one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. You will provide operational support for capital markets transactions, including equities, bonds, FX, money markets, and derivatives. This role requires strong communication, operational expertise, and the ability to collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure efficient trade execution and settlement.
Your main responsibilities: Provide operational expertise for securities, cash, and derivatives transactions to institutional clients
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as brokers, custodians, and accounting teams
- Perform control functions, including daily trade monitoring, system reconciliations, and managing failed trades
- Assist the Team Manager/Supervisor in fulfilling their duties as required
- Coordinate complex client queries and ensure timely resolution
- Identify operational risks, ensure process compliance with regulations, and propose/implement new KRIs and controls to mitigate risks
- Lead projects and implementations of new products, businesses, and client onboarding at the section or department level
- Analyze and recommend process improvements to senior management for increased efficiency
- Maintain and update team procedures, audit requirements, and compliance across all processes
- Coordinate audit and due diligence events, including leading process walkthroughs and collecting samples
- Design and analyze complex reports to support control activities and prepare actionable recommendations
- Act as a liaison with business analysts, technology teams, and project managers for ongoing enhancements
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Professional English proficiency
- 4-5 years of experience in the financial sector (preferably fund services operations)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- The ability to work both independently and in teams
- A proactive, goal-oriented attitude with a willingness to speak up
- Experience in project/change management and end-to-end process transformation (beneficial)
- A university degree in finance or banking (beneficial)
- Technical skills, such as VBA or SQL (beneficial)
- Financial or project management certifications, such as CISI or IOB (beneficial)
