Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).
As a Product Control Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution engaged in a multi-year transformation program aimed at enhancing data quality, risk management, and financial controls. You will be supporting initiatives that improve how FX positions and P&L data are captured, explained, and shared across the organization. The role involves close collaboration with Product Control, Traded Risk, and IT teams to deliver enhanced analytics, tooling, and governance, ultimately enabling more accurate reporting and improved decision-making processes.
Your main responsibilities: Supporting change initiatives related to FX position and P&L explain processes
- Liaising with Product Control and Traded Risk teams to clarify business needs
- Documenting detailed requirements and ensuring alignment with business goals
- Analyzing root causes of P&L data exceptions and proposing solutions
- Improving governance and tooling around adjustment tracking and reviews
- Collaborating with IT to review estimations and deliver technical requirements
- Creating high-quality documentation in line with Business Transformation Framework
- Performing testing and supporting go-live activities for new processes
- Managing resolution of data exceptions with clear traceability
- Facilitating knowledge sharing and supporting handovers to business teams
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong experience in business analysis within financial services
- Solid understanding of Product Control processes and FX position handling
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve P&L Explain data issues
- Experience writing clear and comprehensive business and functional requirements
- Knowledge of data governance and control frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with distributed IT and business teams
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Familiarity with testing processes and change management practices
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
It’s a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working in a Product Control or Traded Risk environment
- Familiarity with market data and Independent Price Verification (IPV) processes
- Exposure to large-scale transformation programs in banking
- Understanding of data visualization tools used in finance
- Experience with databases or tools for analyzing large data sets
