As a Project Manager, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution committed to driving strategic change and operational excellence. You will be leading critical change initiatives within the organization’s data governance and management framework, ensuring alignment with the overall transformation strategy. By partnering with key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams, you will oversee the delivery of complex projects, applying Agile methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will be pivotal in managing project risks, dependencies, and deliverables while maintaining a strong focus on data quality, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Your main responsibilities:
- Leading change initiatives and establishing robust project governance in accordance with the organization’s Change Framework
- Partnering with Scrum Masters to facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Managing stakeholder relationships across different markets and business units, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Overseeing project delivery, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and making recommendations to maintain progress and benefits realization
- Proactively managing project scope, requirements, schedule, and budget to ensure successful execution
- Providing leadership across the project team, setting performance expectations, and monitoring progress
- Documenting project decisions, risks, issues, and escalations to ensure transparency and accountability
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements within the banking sector
- Driving continuous improvements by identifying pain points and proposing solutions to enhance efficiency
- Preparing and delivering assurance and sign-off packs for senior management approval
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Extensive project management experience in the banking sector, with a minimum of 8–10 years in a Project Manager role
- Strong stakeholder management skills, from executive-level stakeholders to analysts, with a focus on impactful communication
- Proven experience in delivering projects on time and within budget, achieving the stated business case outcomes
- Excellent knowledge of financial institutions and banking operations
- Solid understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality remediation
- Experience applying Agile methodologies in project and product development
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to proactively identify improvement areas and propose solutions
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience in a global matrix organization
- Proficiency in documenting decisions, risks, and issues in a structured manner
- Ability to manage delivery and reporting for complex assignments while leading cross-functional teams
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Data modeling experience
- Agile certification(s) (e.g., SAFe)
- Familiarity with the organization’s standards and processes
- Experience with banking (internal/external) audits
