Location: Warszawa with a 100% remote work

As a Senior Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading bank and financial institution offering a wide range of services to individuals, small businesses, and large corporations. The project involves developing microservices using Java and Spring technologies, integrating with external systems via REST APIs, and processing messages with RabbitMQ and Kafka. You will join a team responsible for designing, implementing, and testing modern solutions that support the operations of the modern banking sector.

Your main responsibilities: Creating and developing backend applications using Java and Spring

• Designing and implementing microservices based on REST APIs
• Building and testing application logic using JUnit and Mockito
• Implementing solutions using RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Managing source code using the Git version control system
• Designing and optimizing queries for PostgreSQL databases
• Collaborating with teams of analysts, testers, and DevOps engineers
• Documenting interfaces using AsyncAPI
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring high code quality

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Have strong knowledge of Java and the Spring framework
• Have experience in developing REST APIs
• Can create unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
• Are proficient in PostgreSQL and can optimize database queries
• Have hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Are familiar with Git version control tools
• Can create and maintain API documentation using AsyncAPI
• Work independently and are confident in making technical decisions
• Can collaborate in agile software development environments
• Understand microservices design principles

It is strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture
• Experience working with Docker containers
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with web application security principles
• Experience in financial sector projects
• Ability to analyze business requirements
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Hands-on experience with OpenAPI
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Experience working in a Scrum methodology
