As a Senior IT PM/Test Strategist, you will be working for our Client, a global financial institution renowned for its comprehensive banking services and technology-driven projects. You will be responsible for managing technology projects, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with broader program objectives. The role requires balancing scope, schedule, and resources while fostering productivity and innovation within cross-functional technology teams.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments, and changes
  • Support cross-functional technology teams to manage delivery proactively
  • Work with technology teams and product owners to drive productivity improvements through backlog management and Agile methodologies
  • Provide management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns with wider program objectives
  • Manage, monitor, and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to program management and stakeholders
  • Make recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
  • Assist in strategizing better partner test environments by leveraging people and technology
  • Establish effective governance and controls in line with the Business Transformation Framework
  • Coordinate cross-technology teams and cross-global business/global functions delivery

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 8-10 years of IT project management experience
  • Strong traditional PM skills including planning, task and financial tracking, risk identification, and mitigation
  • Experience in working with remote teams of diverse culture/background and matrix organizations with complex systems
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently under pressure
  • Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude
  • Experience of working in the Agile environment
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility to work after hours (as needed)
  • Ability to adjust in rapidly changing environments and prioritize activities

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Working experience in a Lean Scale Agile environment
  • Knowledge of test and test automation
  • Prior working experience in the banking sector
  • Experience using Clarity for status reporting and risk/issue register maintenance
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC/Agile methodology
  • JIRA and Confluence knowledge
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
