Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization dedicated to enhancing the efficiency of its operations through high-quality engineering solutions. The project involves developing and maintaining cloud-based applications using Java and related frameworks, delivering secure and scalable services, and promoting professional standards in software development. You will contribute to building secure platforms that empower teams to deliver effective solutions while ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall engineering goals.

Your main responsibilities: Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications using Java and frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot

• Reviewing solutions to ensure alignment with the stated goals of Foundation Engineering
• Advocating for high professional standards of development, primarily in Java
• Delivering comprehensive tests as part of every deliverable
• Approaching technical challenges with an open, collaborative mindset
• Taking the initiative to improve the developer experience and efficiency
• Implementing security services and libraries to address cross-cutting capabilities
• Collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency through cost-effective solutions

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong proficiency in Java development, particularly with frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot
• Fluent English
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• A deep understanding of functional, non-blocking, asynchronous code
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns
• Proven ability to produce high-quality tests and advocate for testing best practices
• Experience in delivering secure software solutions
• Demonstrable polyglot programming skills
• Familiarity with performance testing methodologies
• Exceptional attention to detail

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Istio and Kubernetes
• Security software-related experience
• Expertise in securing APIs at scale
