As a Senior Payments Production Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry dedicated to enabling seamless global transactions. You will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the stability of payments infrastructures, ensuring the continuous availability of high-impact systems. Your main responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive day-to-day production support, including incident resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Installing and validating new software releases from vendors in a high-availability environment.
• Supporting testing activities related to new implementations and system upgrades.
• Collaborating with global stakeholders to review, design, and re-engineer processes to improve system performance.
• Implementing automation solutions using Shell Scripts, Java, Bash, or Python to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conducting root cause analysis and data reconciliation to identify and resolve system or data anomalies.
• Participating in capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning to sustain a reliable payments platform.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in line with Site Reliability Engineering disciplines.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT support, systems engineering, or a related field within the financial or banking sector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Linux (administration and scripting), and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database architecture and tools.
• Knowledge of automation scripting with Shell, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or AppDynamics and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills in a global, fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting high-frequency change environments with automated deployment pipelines.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in Payments or banking systems.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, Puppet/Ansible, or other configuration management tools.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent in English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
